On Wednesday at the CMA Awards in Nashville, Wynonna introduced the award for vocal couple of the year.

Before presenting the award, nonetheless, she thanked fans for their help through a troublesome period.
“In death there is life, and here I am,” said Wynonna, 58, referring to the unexpected death of her mother and musical partner Naomi in April. “Thank you for your affection and your help.”
She continued, “These past six months have been a chance to lament and an opportunity to be grateful.

“I’ll enlighten you what I know regarding death. In death, there is life. I feel both at the same time simultaneously,” she said at the time. “I feel happiness and distress. I’m walking in paradox.
I’m literally a walking contradiction. I feel happiness. I feel pain. I feel light. I feel dark.” She also said that while she considered herself to be “quite intense,” she also has a “delicate” side — and she’s leaned on her “really mischievous funny bone,” that she shared with Naomi, during this troublesome time. At the same time, there are layers of distress that remain unpredictable.
“How am I coping? It relies upon the [situation],” she explained at the time. “I’m on the phone talking and without warning I’ll simply begin to sob. Then 10 minutes later, I’m making a dinner and I’m talking to my husband about our date night. Then my granddaughter comes and I cry some more. I cry a ton. That’s alright… It doesn’t mean it’s an indication of weakness.”
Then, Wynonna has recreated The Judds Farewell Concert — the now-legendary TV special that aired in 1991 — for national broadcast on CMT next March.
The 2022 CMAs will be facilitated by Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning and will air live Wednesday night from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
