The release dates for the game’s other versions have been moved up to November 10, the same as the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S launch dates.

Yakuza 7 on PlayStation 5 will support free upgrades for both digital and physical versions. The physical upgrade for discs just requires popping the PS4 disc into the PlayStation 5’s disc drive, while the digital upgrade will be made available on the PlayStation Store.

However, save data will not be transferable between the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions.

It’s not clear why the Yakuza 7 for PlayStation 5 is launching four months after the other versions, but Sega’s Communications Manager Jonathon Stebel said “our dev team is hard at work optimizing all platforms for their release.”
